Overall, The Ex Games is an okay read if your looking for a romantic comedy and something wintery. In honor of the first snowfall of the season here, I thought it would be fun to read a book with lots of winter and lots of snow. This book is guaranteed frustration free. So, essentially, Hayden and Nick “hate” each other since 7th grade, when Nick dated Hayden on a bet. When Hayden wins the girls’ division of a local snowboarding competition, Nick is unimpressed, claiming that Hayden wouldn’t tje a chance against a guy.
Every books I’ve ever read by Jeniffer Echols has been a joy The “romance” was very simplistic and not very believable. I realize that I th to be saying some kind of mean sounding things myself now, but don’t get me wrong, I loved this book, and the atmosphere and characters JE has created, She is really good at this, and I’ll be coming back for more of her magic til the well runs dry.
Overall, though, I was really frustrated by the characters.

There tue not a lot of depth here, so if you are looking for something profound, you might want to try something else. In this book, Echols takes on gender roles in sports and does an amazing job with talking about the issue without becoming preachy or hitting you over the head with it.
It was a fast r Hayden and Nick once dated on the seventh grade but things did not work out with the two of them. However things start to get out of control when it’s not just Nick and Hayden and there friends going to be showing up to the competition.
